Itinerary
Our agency Machupicchu Hop will pick you up at your respective hostel and/or meeting point between 7:30 am to 8:00 am. After the pick-up we will head towards the archaeological site of Pisac for about 1 hour and a half, where we will make our first guided tour for 30 minutes.
At the end of the view of Pisac we will continue in our transport towards Urubamba where we will have our lunch Buffet. After enjoying our lunch we will continue half an hour more towards the fortress of Ollantaytambo , to visit the archaeological site during 30 minutes approximately.
At 4:20 pm we will go to the train station in Ollantaytambo to board the train to the town of Machu Picchu (Aguas Calientes), at the door of the station our transfer will be waiting to place you in your respective accommodation.
The first day of the Sacred Valley and Machu Picchu tour ends in Aguas Calientes.
The next day we will have to get up early to ascend to Machu Picchu, we will have breakfast at the lodging and at an indicated time the guide will pick us up to go together with the rest of the group to the bus stop, ( normally the wait is 20 minutes to take the bus) that will take us to the Inca citadel of Machu Picchu (the time to pick up the lodging and the time to enter Machu Picchu depends on the availability of tickets so we recommend you to book in advance to be one of the first to take the first turns).
Once you arrive to Machu Picchu we will start to resort to a professional guide of the around 2 hours it takes where I do not know how to explain the important points of Machu Picchu and you will have time to enjoy the place and to make photographs, the guided visit will continue crossing the different zones from the sanctuary the guide will explain you in detail all that you know about Machu Picchu and the Inca culture.
At the end of the guided tour the guide will say goodbye to the group and you will have free time to walk on your own in Machu Picchu, until you decide to take the bus down to Machu Picchu town as where you can eat in one of the many restaurants on your own and take the train to ollantaytambo.
Upon arrival at Ollantaytambo station the driver will be waiting for us to take us to Cusco and drop us off near your hotel, arriving around 8:30 p.m. (Arrival time may vary depending on train schedule availability or other occasion, so we recommend not taking any transportation or flight to another location for that same time).
