Machu Picchu By Train 2 Days

Nuestro recorrido comienza en Cosco alrededor de las 10 de la mañana luego haremos un viaje de una hora y media hasta llegar a Ollantaytambo, donde tomaremos el tren de las 12:50 p.m. a Machu Picchu Pueblo (Aguas Calientes), en el transcurso de 1 hora 40 minutos de viaje, tendremos espectaculares vistas del paisaje, los nevados, el río vilcanota y las zonas tropicales de la selva

when you get to the Aguas Calientes station, a staff will be waiting for us at the door, to accompany us to our respective accommodation for the night.

In the afternoon you will have free time to visit the town of Machu Picchu (Aguas Calientes) or visit the famous hot springs and eat, there you can find everything you need among: Restaurants, shops and even massage parlor. Briefly the guide will indicate the time in which we will not meet at the lodging, to coordinate about your guided tour of the next day in Machu Picchu. It is advisable to sleep early and rest, because the next day you will need all the energy to visit Machu Picchu.

This day we will have more than just getting up early and having breakfast at the lodge. The guide will come to pick us up to board the bus to ascend to the Machu Picchu Sanctuary, where we will be able to appreciate the impressive scene of sunrise over the ancient ruins.

Then we will enjoy a guided tour of about 2 hours through the most important archaeological sites. During the guided tour we will learn about the secrets and history of this fascinating place.

After the guide we will have enough time to enjoy on our own, until we take the bus to Aguas Calientes and have all the time to have lunch, until the departure of the train to Ollantaytambo . In Ollantaytambo the transfer will be waiting for us to board the bus and return to the city of Cuzco, arriving around 8:30 p.m. (the time of arrival may vary depending on the time available for the tickets for which it is advisable to book the tour in advance).
