Inca Jungle trek 4 days, Mountain bike tour to sleep with a cozy local family of the jungle, zipline (zip line), hiking (hiking) and we will discover recently discovered Inca roads. Finally, the tour ends in one of the seven wonders of the world, chosen the best travel destination by National Geographic: Machu Picchu.

Itinerary

Inca Jungle Tour Begins in Cusco Around 5:30 am our agency Machu Picchu Hop will come to collect them together with our guide to their respective hostels and / or meeting point. Then continue to Ollantaytambo, where we will have our breakfast for approximately 30 minutes.

At the end of our breakfast we will continue towards Abra Málaga at 4,200 meters above sea level. From here we will start with our cycling adventure for about 4 hours passing rivers and streams until we reach Huamanmarca.

Then we will transfer by bus to Santa María where we will enjoy our lunch shortly before starting our part of the canoeing trip (For those who chose as an additional option when booking the tour to do this canoeing activity) The canoeing lasts approximately 2 hours

At the end of the activity the group will take the bus to Sata Maria where they will spend the night. Dinner will be served at a local restaurant in Santa Maria.

We get up around 7:00 a.m. and after breakfast we start walking along the riverbank. We will be able to witness along the way, animals of the region such as birds (parrots, hummingbird, eagles), wild cats, centipedes, lizards, medicinal plants and fruit trees (banana, mango, orange, tangerines, cocoa, pacay and sombre coca, coffee , etc) then we will arrive to the small town Quellomayo, rest and lunch.

Then we will walk approx. 1 hour and from there we will take a transport to Santa Teresa, arriving approximately at 4:00 p.m. (breakfast, lunch, dinner and overnight).

The thermal waters of Cocalmayo will be the trophy where we relax our muscles before going to bed.

After a sunrise in the jungle, we will enjoy a delicious breakfast, We will leave Santa Teresa (those who booked tirolesa will be taken to the starting point of this activity) after that they will be taken by bus to Hidroeléctric

Those who do not participate in the activity will continue walking for approximately 3 hours until they reach Electric Hydro, where we will meet the rest of the group. Then all the groups will enjoy lunch.

At the end of lunch we will continue with a walk through the trails of the Inca Jungle for 3 hours until we reach the town of Machu Picchu (Aguas Calientes), where our guide will place us in our respective accommodation. The group will be taken to a local restaurant for dinner while receiving information about the next day of the excursion to Machu Picchu.

In the morning we get up around 4:00 am where we will receive a small Box Lunch, to go to the Inca citadel of Machu Picchu , in this walk we will take approximately 1 hour and a half. (if you feel tired you can skip the walk and make it by bus, tickets can be purchased in Aguas Calientes town, or buy in advance with us).

We will enter the inca citadel of Machu Picchu and will have a guide of the main places during 2 hours approximately. At the end of the guide you will have free time to visit Machu Picchu individually or to climb the mountains (Machu Picchu Mountain or Wayna Picchu) if the reservation is Mada.

After the visit you will return to Aguas Calientes. In the town of Aguas Calientes you will have enough time to enjoy a delicious meal or drink.

A very important note to keep in mind is that you must be at the station half an hour before the departure of your train. Once on the train, you will be arriving at Ollantaytambo station, where at Ollantaytambo station, our staff will be waiting for you to return to Cusco leaving you near your hotel.

What to bring to Inka Jungle Trail 4 Days

When you prepare your luggage, remember that the rainy season at Machu Picchu is from December to March. Winter, between May and August, so we recommend you bring:

  • Clothing to avoid the cold (for the first day of the trip)
  • Sportswear (03 pair of each) .
  • Trekking shoes
  • Hat or cap
  • Sunglasses .
  • Sunscreen
