It was built near the Apurímac River on a platform with enclosures, plazas, and the "Forest of Stones." The archaeological site features agricultural terraces, and from the site, you will have a spectacular view of the Andes and the Apurímac River. Visiting will leave you amazed, and at the same time, the vertigo will take hold.
Itinerary
The trip departs at 4:45 a.m. from the city of Cusco.
The drive takes approximately 3.5 hours one way. During the journey, you will have the opportunity to enjoy the excellent views of these terrains.
The ascent to the Waqrapukara archaeological site takes about 1.5 hours.
On the way, each turn will surprise you with extraordinary landscapes and some irregular features.
After a brief rest and making the most of our lunch, we will visit and enjoy the beauty of this landmark. Finally, satisfied with the visit, we will return to our vehicle, which will be waiting at the stop. We will arrive back in Cusco around 6:00 p.m.
