1. Máncora

Máncora features the best modern facilities, including hotels, restaurants, and surfboard rental services, among others. Spend your day surfing and diving, then enjoy delicious seafood dishes like ceviche, prepared with shrimp, swordfish, grouper, and more. Máncora's nightlife is a celebration, evident in its exclusive resorts and backpacker hostels. A nearby beach, Las Pocitas, located just 4 kilometers away, is known for its small beach areas and natural pools formed between rocks, making it a perfect spot to watch the sunset.

How to Get There: Máncora is approximately 187 kilometers from the city of Piura in northern Peru, which has become a tourism hotspot. It's accessible via the Panamericana Norte highway. Various bus companies operate routes to Máncora from Lima, Tumbes, Piura, and other places in Peru. Taxis and other transportation options are available from the airport. Air access is mainly through three airports: Tumbes Airport, Piura Airport, and Talara Airport.

2. Playa Chico (Las Pocitas)

Playa Pocitas offers an exclusive and tranquil environment. It is famous for its natural pools formed between rocks during low tide, a unique feature of the Peruvian coast. The area is surrounded by lush vegetation, palm trees, turquoise sea, and white sand, providing a tropical paradise perfect for vacations. It also offers restaurant services and accommodations at a good level, with excellent weather and spectacular beaches throughout the year.

How to Get There: Located just 6 kilometers from Máncora, you can reach it by walking, taxi, motorbike, or moto-taxi.

3. Punta Sal

Punta Sal enjoys year-round bright sunshine due to its location. Surrounded by a chain of hills that shield it from the wind, the 6,000 kilometers of beach are caressed by warm, calm waters that beautifully contrast with the green algarrobo trees and pastures. The beach is a paradise from any perspective.

How to Get There: The main access to Punta Sal is located at kilometer 1187 on the Panamericana Norte highway, where you will find a stop and an arch welcoming you to the Punta Sal tourist beach.

4. Wakama

Wakama was one of the first natural refuges on the Peruvian coast. This hidden beach, located 2 hours south, has an interesting ecotourism development project. There are beachfront cabins for rent, equipped with all the comforts and a natural style. It’s an ideal spot for spending days with family, a partner, or friends.

How to Get There: Reaching Wakama Beach is quite simple; the entrance is located just 179 kilometers from the Panamericana Sur, at the end of the ascent toward the Jahuay beach.

5. Playa Roja

Playa Roja is a spectacular and exotic beauty. The reddish color is due to the presence of magnetic minerals within the rocks. When the sea hits the rocks, the reddish rock fragments are washed ashore, creating a striking contrast with the yellow and ochre cliffs, resulting in a unique natural environment.

How to Get There: Enter the national reserve at approximately kilometer 250 on the Panamericana Sur highway. Proceed along the main road to the Lagunillas control checkpoint.

6. La Mina

Playa La Mina is a must-visit stop for those exploring the Paracas National Reserve. The beach has a horseshoe shape and is surrounded by a sand dune that protects it from intense winds. With clean, crystal-clear waters, gentle waves, and a peaceful atmosphere, it is perfect for diving and relaxation.

How to Get There: The beach is located 250 kilometers from the famous Panamericana Sur highway, within the Paracas province in the Ica department.

7. Puerto Inca

Playa Puerto Inca offers a unique natural environment, featuring a cliff surrounded by pre-Incan ruins. The tranquil sea and transparent waters make this beach one of the most important for the Incas. The beach is part of the Inca Empire and the road network, allowing access to the sacred ruins of Machu Picchu, with visible archaeological remains and ancient llama corrals.

How to Get There: Playa Puerto Inca is located at kilometer 610 on the Panamericana Sur highway, 15 minutes from the town of Chala in the Caraveli province of the Arequipa department. From Lima, it's about a 9-hour drive, and from Arequipa, about 5 hours.
